New Orleans, La., April 12, 2012 -- Officials marked the opening of the New Orleans East Library with a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony. The new facility received approximately $4.3 million in FEMA funding and was built on the site of the former library, near the entrance of Joe W. Brown Park.
