TRUMP APPROVES MAJOR DISASTER DECLARATION FOR ALABAMA [https://www.fema.gov/press-release/20210318/president-donald-j-trump-approves-major-disaster-declaration-alabama-2] Release Date: δΈƒζœˆ 10, 2020 WASHINGTON β€” FEMA announced today that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Alabama to supplement state, tribal and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding from April 12-13, 2020. Federal funding also is available to state, tribal and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding in Blount, Cullman, DeKalb, Etowah, Jackson, Marshall and Walker counties. Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide. Terry L. Quarles has been named as the Federal Coordinating Officer for federal recovery operations in the affected area.
