The FY 2020 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program is open for applications as of Monday, January 4, 2021 and closes on Friday, February 12, 2021.

Each year, FEMA Region 1 Fire Program Specialists present training workshops that thoroughly cover the AFG application. These workshops run for approximately 2 hours and cover all aspects of the FY 2020 AFG program: who can apply, how to apply, and the eligibility and priority of available equipment and programs.

Traditionally, we have presented these workshops in-person at locations throughout New England, as well as virtually. Due to COVID-19, the workshops this year will be all virtual via the ZOOM meeting platform.
