Priorities and Schedules for Website Content

The table below is an inventory, prioritization and schedule for posting website content as required by the E-Government Act of 2002. This is an overview of website content from across FEMA.

The priority categories are:

  • Priority 1: Urgent, public emergency and safety information.
  • Priority 2: Time-sensitive information.
  • Priority 3: Information of interest to a broad spectrum of website audiences OR to key stakeholders.
  • Priority 4: Other information.

Categories of Information Shared by FEMA on Websites

All categories are currently published as information is available, unless otherwise required by law.

Content CategoryPriority
Urgent information disseminated in real-time to inform the public about disasters and other emergencies.1
Response and recovery updates, including disaster assistance, available services and programs, events and other timely resources related to ongoing disaster situations.2
Media information including press releases, fact sheets, speeches, testimony, public service announcements, photos and videos.2
Grants and funding information related to all programmatic activities.2
Guidelines and standards related to emergency management frameworks, disaster assistance, and other agency mission areas.3
Program resources, tools, services, education and training for emergency management partners, including governmental, non-governmental, private sector, etc.3
General departmental information, such as mission and function statements, leadership biographies, staff directories, etc.4
Programmatic and administrative information, including statistical information, disseminated in connection with and as a byproduct of the administration of programs.4
Reports to Congress and the President as required by statute.4
Program evaluation studies undertaken to assess program activities and identify opportunities for improvement.4
Regulatory information in support of regulatory development, policies and decision-making.2
Working with FEMA, including doing business with the agency and career information.2, 3
