The Mobile Connects events aim to meet people where they are, as part of the increased effort to help those affected by the Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon Fire to start their claim before the Dec. 20 deadline.
Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon Claims Public Comment Period
Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon Fire conducted a public comments period and tribal consultations from Nov. 14, 2022, through Jan 13, 2023, to help guide the claims process and describe necessary documentation, evaluation criteria, available funding, and provide for appeal rights, arbitration and judicial review. Comments were also collected through the Federal Register Notice.
Six public meetings were held in the most heavily impacted communities to collect public comments. The meeting transcripts are below.
