Ascension Parish School Board Receives $6M More in Disaster Aid

BATON ROUGE, La. — The Ascension Parish School Board will receive nearly $6.1 million for permanent school repairs following the August 2016 floods. The recently approved funding will help with campus-wide repair efforts at St. Amant High School.

AUSTIN, Texas – Federal assistance to help individuals and families with basic needs resulting from the recent flooding in South Texas now tops $10 million, about a month after the July 17, 2019, disaster declaration.

Noble, Okmulgee, Ottawa and Tillman Counties Added to Disaster Declaration for Public Assistance Funding

OKLAHOMA CITY – Four more counties in Oklahoma are now eligible to apply for FEMA’s Public Assistance funding to supplement state and local recovery efforts in areas that sustained damage from the severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding between May 7 and June 9, 2019.

 

FEMA awards $2.7 million to Orange County for project to reduce future flood damage

AUSTIN, Texas The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded over $2.7 million to Orange County through the Texas Division of Emergency Management to fund a project to acquire and demolish 20 structures impacted by flooding from Hurricane Harvey that may be at risk from future flood events.

Acquiring and demolishing these properties will provide an effective, long-term solution to mitigate the risks and prevent future flood losses.
