Get Home Repair Advice Nov. 8-13 at Lowe’s on Staten Island

NEW YORK – As the people of New York repair and rebuild their homes, FEMA has teamed with Lowe’s home-improvement store on Staten Island to provide free information and tips on how to make homes damaged by natural disasters stronger and safer.

FEMA specialists will be available at the location listed below to answer questions and offer tips and techniques for building hazard-resistant homes to help prevent or reduce damage from disasters. Most information is geared toward do-it-yourself work and general contractors.

FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation advisors are available Monday, Nov. 8, to Saturday, Nov. 13:

Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
