Umatilla County Residents, Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation Receive More than $3 Million for Flood Recovery

Salem, Oregon – Over a period of just two months, a combined total of more than $3 million in disaster assistance funds are in the hands of residents of Umatilla County and the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation to help recover from severe storms, flooding and landslides that occurred in northeast Oregon February 5-9, 2020.

Deadline to Register in Eastern Oregon Extended to July 2

Salem, Oregon – The deadline to register for disaster assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has been extended to July 2, 2020, for residents of Umatilla County and the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation who sustained damage or loss due to the February storms and flooding.

The federal government continues to meet demands for personal protective equipment through new acquisition, federal interagency allocation, private industry donations and the Strategic National Stockpile.

Why Disaster Survivors in Eastern Oregon Should Apply with the SBA

Salem, Oregon – If you sustained damage from the severe flooding in Eastern Oregon February 5 – 9, 2020, you should apply for a low-interest disaster loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Disaster survivors who register for assistance with FEMA may be eligible for grants to help pay for renting a place to live until your home can be repaired, to pay for minor structural repairs, replace essential personal property and/or pay for serious disaster-related needs not covered by other programs.

FEMA Issues Public Notice

SALEM, Ore. – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is required by law to provide public notice of its intent to provide federal assistance and grant opportunities via the Public Assistance (PA), Individual Assistance (IA), or Hazard Mitigation Grant (HMGP) programs.

Register by June 2, 2020 for FEMA Federal Assistance in Umatilla County

Salem, Oregon – Residents of Umatilla County and the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation who sustained damage or loss as a result of the February 5 -9 Umatilla River flooding event have until June 2, 2020, to register for disaster assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).  By law, FEMA assistance cannot duplicate the assistance received from insurance companies; however, assistance may be received for uninsured or underinsured items.

该声明增加了联邦政府对HHS的支持,其作为主要联邦机构领导联邦政府应对COVID-19。  紧急声明并不影响其他联邦法规授权的各项措施。

FEMA的援助将需要执行“FEMA-州/部落/领地协议”(如适用)并执行适用的应急计划。在获得FEMA的援助时,各州、部落和领地政府无需根据本全国性声明要求发布单独的紧急声明。

FEMA鼓励官员根据公共卫生指南采取适当而必要的行动,以保护公共健康和安全。
