FEMA is proposing updates to the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) for specific areas in Spotsylvania County, Virginia based on feedback provided by the community during the first appeal period in December 2020 for Spotsylvania County’s updated maps. On Feb. 22, 2022, community partners are invited to participate in a second 90-day appeal and comment period regarding the proposed updates around the following tributaries:

The new mapping tool, which can be used from a desktop computer, cell phone, or other mobile device, brings together data from FEMA and across the Commonwealth into one consolidated application.
