FEMA has approved assistance for three South Dakota counties for the winter storm that occurred in December 2022 and was approved for a major disaster by President Biden on Feb. 27, 2023.

New flood maps have been developed for the City of Holyoke and immediately surrounding unincorporated areas of Phillips County. If residents or businesses feel there is an error in the map, they have a 90-day period to provide scientific or engineering data. Any comments on incorrect labels or other minor errors will be received during this time as well.

FEMA is providing this notice to advise and solicitate comments from other Federal and State agencies, Native American tribes, non-governmental organizations, and the public of FEMA’s intention, as well as to obtain suggestions and information on the scope of issues to consider during the project planning process and development of an Environmental Assessment (EA) for Long-Term Sustainability for Provo’s Water Supply project, Provo, Utah County, Utah. The purpose of the proposed Project is to create a sustainable water supply for the City of Provo in order to mitigate the effects of long-term drought and build resilience by increasing the City’s reliable year-round water supply, including during times of drought .
