Associate Administrator for Mission Support

Ms. Traci L. Clever is the Associate Administrator for Mission Support at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and a career member of the Senior Executive Service.  Ms. Clever  was selected for this position in October 2019. In this role, she provides executive leadership and direction to Mission Support’s executive team and workforce to deliver quality, mission-focused business excellence for a $340 million average annual program of requirements across five lines of business (communities of practice): human resources; information technology; facilities and administrative services; security; and procurement. Ms. Clever also serves as FEMA’s Interim Component Acquisition Executive with oversight and decision making for FEMA’s $27.2 million acquisition program. In addition, for FY 2020, Ms. Clever provides oversight on Mission Support’s COVID-19 funding totaling approximately $45 million.

Previously, through March 2019, Ms. Clever held the position of FEMA Deputy Associate Administrator for Mission Support and prior to joining FEMA, from November 2017 - March 2019, Ms. Clever served as the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Deputy Executive Associate Director for Management and Administration. In this role Ms. Clever guided and directed the day-to-day operations of Management & Administration and oversaw a team of executives for eight lines of business. Ms. Clever strategically led operational planning and was responsible for advising and assisting ICE’s Executive Associate Director for Management and Administration in effective and efficient management of the overall business operations of ICE.

Ms. Clever was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in August 2013 in the position of Regional Business Director for the South Pacific Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where she served with distinction prior to joining ICE in 2017.  Ms. Clever served as a principal advisor to the Commanding General providing executive leadership and direction for the South Pacific Division, including the strategic direction; business transformation; strategic communication; planning and policy; real estate; and financial management for a $2.0 billion average annual program and an organization of approximately 2,500 active duty military and civilians.

Ms. Clever lives in Washington, D.C. with her spouse Ms. Dani Beaumont, a Product Manager with Adobe. They have two adult children, Lily and Spencer.  Her personal interests include motorcycling, gardening, photography and travel.
