Dale McShine is currently serving the role of Acting Deputy Regional Administrator, Region II.
As the Grants Division Director for FEMA Region II, Ms. McShine was responsible for partnering with grant recipients and Program Division Directors to assist with the management and administration of federal assistance of a portfolio that totals nearly $39 billion, excluding grants for hurricanes Irma and Maria.
Prior to joining FEMA, Ms. McShine worked at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as an Executive Director in the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response with responsibility for grants and administration; managing federal assistance received from CDC, HHS/ASPR and DHS for public health and health care emergency preparedness capability building. She also served as the Continuity of Operations Manager for the agency.
Ms. McShine has been deployed for infectious disease outbreaks including West Nile, Pandemic Influenza Outbreak (H1N1) and the coronavirus (COVID‐19) pandemic and natural catastrophic disasters including hurricanes Irene, Lee, Sandy, and Maria.
