FOUR DISASTER RECOVERY CENTERS TO PERMANENTLY CLOSE [https://www.fema.gov/press-release/20221205/four-disaster-recovery-centers-permanently-close] Release Date: November 29, 2022 SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO — The temporary Disaster Recovery Center (DRCs) in HUMACAO will CLOSE PERMANENTLY on DEC. 1, 2022, at 1 P.M. DRCS OF ARECIBO, OROCOVIS AND RÍO GRANDE WILL CLOSE PERMANENTLY ON DEC. 2 AT 5 P.M. Operational hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Saturday until they close. After DRCs close, survivors can still view the status of their application online at DisasterAssistance.gov [http://www.disasterassistance.gov] or by using FEMA’s mobile app [https://www.fema.gov/about/news-multimedia/mobile-products]. Individuals can also call the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362 to discuss their case with a FEMA representative. Press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish and 3 for all other languages. People who use a relay service such as video relay service (VRS), captioned telephone service or others, provide FEMA the number for that service. Phone lines operate from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week.
