NEED A SAFE PLACE TO STAY WHILE WORKING TOWARD PERMANENT HOUSING?

FEMA may provide financial assistance to pre-disaster homeowners or
renters to rent alternate temporary housing if they are displaced from
their primary residence due to the flooding that began on July 26. 

Rental Assistance is intended to cover the monthly rent amount
(including lot rent, if applicable) and cost of essential utilities
(i.e., gas, electric, water, oil, trash, and sewer), excluding
telephone, cable, TV, or internet service for the housing unit.

​​​​​​​WORRIED ABOUT PERSONAL PROPERTY AND FAMILY
TREASURES?

FEMA MAY PROVIDE MONEY TO APPLICANTS, UNDER OTHER NEEDS ASSISTANCE,
FOR moving and storing essential household items to avoid further
disaster damage if their primary residence is uninhabitable due to the
disaster. Generally, these expenses include those related to:

 	* Storage of personal property in a storage unit or temporary
housing unit while repairs are being made to the primary residence.
 	* Moving the items to the individual’s or household’s new
primary residence

STAYING IN YOUR DISASTER DAMAGED HOME WITHOUT HEAT?

FEMA may provide financial assistance to repair your pre-disaster
primary residence, utilities, and residential infrastructure, Home
Repair Assistance can make a damaged home safe, sanitary, and
functional. FEMA may provide financial assistance for the repair of
real property components, including, but not limited to:

 	* Structural components of a home (foundation, exterior walls, roof)
 	* Windows, doors, floors, walls, ceilings, and cabinetry
 	* Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system (HVAC)
 	* Resetting its sewer, water, electrical, oil, and fuel lines and
tanks.
