WASHINGTON-- FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell announced today that
on June 30, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. made additional disaster
assistance available for the state of Oregon.

The President authorized an increase in the level of federal funding
for Public Assistance projects undertaken as result of wildfires and
straight-line winds during the period of Sept. 7 to Nov. 3, 2020. The
state of Oregon received a major disaster declaration on Sept. 15,
2020.

Federal funding was originally available for Public Assistance, Hazard
Mitigation and Other Needs Assistance at 75% of the total eligible
costs.         

Under the President's order, the federal share for debris removal and
emergency protective measures, including direct federal assistance,
under the Public Assistance program has been increased to 100% of the
total eligible costs for a continuous period of 30 days established by
the state of Oregon.
