TRUMP APPROVES MAJOR DISASTER DECLARATION FOR OKLAHOMA [https://www.fema.gov/press-release/20201221/president-donald-j-trump-approves-major-disaster-declaration-oklahoma] Release Date: December 21, 2020 WASHINGTON — FEMA announced today that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Oklahoma to supplement state, tribal and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe winter storms from Oct. 26-29, 2020. Federal funding also is available to state, tribal and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe winter storms in Caddo, Canadian, Cleveland, Dewey, Grady, Kingfisher, Kiowa, Logan, Noble, Oklahoma, Payne, Pottawatomie and Roger Mills counties. Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide. Traci L. Brasher has been named as the Federal Coordinating Officer for federal recovery operations in the affected areas. Additional designations may be made at a later date if warranted by the results of damage assessments.
