SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO – The government of Puerto Rico and the
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) opened Disaster Recovery
Centers (DRCs) in Adjuntas, Guánica and Gurabo on Sunday Nov. 12.

DRCs serve homeowners, renters and business owners who sustained
damage as a result of Hurricane Maria. Specialists from the government
of Puerto Rico and municipalities, FEMA, the U.S. Small Business
Administration, nongovernmental organizations and the local community
will be on hand to help survivors register for assistance, answer
questions and provide information on the types of assistance available
to survivors. Services are provided in English and Spanish.

The ADJUNTAS and GURABO DRCS are open SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAYS, 7 A.M.
TO 7 P.M.

The GUÁNICA DRC is open SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, 7 A.M. TO 7 P.M.

Lines are open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

Registering with FEMA is the first step toward qualifying for disaster
assistance which may include grants to help homeowners and renters pay
for temporary housing, essential home repairs, personal property
replacements and disaster-related needs not covered by insurance.

BAYAMÓN, CAMUY, CANÓVANAS, CAROLINA, CAYEY, CULEBRA, FAJARDO,
GUAYAMA, GUAYNABO, HUMACAO, MANATÍ, MAYAGÜEZ, NARANJITO, OROCOVIS,
PONCE, RÍO GRANDE, TOA BAJA, UTUADO and VIEQUES.
