For your consideration, please see the below and attached invitation to the West Virginia Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (WV VOAD) hosted Elmer Brown Bridge Dedication in Delbarton, WV. DELBARTON, W.v.  – West Virginia’s Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (WV VOAD) is celebrating the official opening of the reconstructed Elmer Brown Bridge in Mingo County June 13.

A ribbon cutting ceremony takes place at the bridge, 51 Willis Spence Drive Delbarton, West Virginia, at 1 p.m.

“This bridge is WV VOAD’s largest project taken on since the inception of the Bridge Committee, said Benjamin Cisco, WV VOAD Operations Officer. "The Bridge is 105 feet long and serves 14 families and has been out since the March flooding of 2015.”

Directions to the Elmer Brown Bridge: 

From Charleston: take US 119 South toward Logan/Williamson. After passing the Logan/Fountain Place Mall Exit you will continue to travel on US 119 for another 15 miles. Follow signs to take WV-65 South toward Matewan/Delbarton. After turning Left onto WV-65 you will travel another 1-1 1/2 mile and bridge will be located on your left just past Conley Branch Road.
