WASHINGTON — The whole-of-America response to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

To date, FEMA, HHS and the private sector combined have coordinated the delivery of or are shipping: 83.8 million N-95 respirators, 133.7 million surgical masks, 12 million face shields, 25.2 million surgical gowns and 989.4 million gloves.

As of May 19, Project Airbridge has completed 155 flights with an additional 64 flights scheduled or in transit. Through Project Airbridge, nearly 1.4 million N-95 respirators, 921 million gloves, 97.4 million surgical masks, 19.9 million gowns, 2.4 million thermometers, 2 million face shields, 392,000 coveralls, 109,000 stethoscopes, 370,000 oxygen masks and 160,000 cannulas have been delivered.

FEMA has obligated more than $6.1 billion in the response to COVID-19.  

Arizona Healthcare Workers Conduct COVID-19 Testing on the Navajo Nation

TONALEA, Ariz. (May 19, 2020) — Healthcare workers conduct COVID-19 testing on the Navajo Nation. The Arizona Department of Health Services and Gov. Doug Ducey, along with personnel support from the Arizona National Guard, continue a statewide testing blitz with hopes of testing up to 60,000 Arizonans this month.

Pennsylvania  National Guard Launches Point Prevalence Sampling Strike Team

LANCASTER, Penn. (May 19, 2020) — Sgt. Shane Brandes adjusts his face shield while preparing to administer COVID-19 tests at the Lancashire Hall Nursing and Rehab Center. Under the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s guidance, and monitored by CDC officials, Pennsylvania National Guard Task Force Ghostrider members launched a point prevalence sampling strike team in Lancaster. Their mission is to identify possible risks of exposure to COVID-19 by testing the entire staff and residents for the virus. This is the first in a pilot program that will reach out across the state.

Washington National Guardsmen Assist Food Bank Support to Local Families

Army Medics Prepare COVID-19 Testing Materials in New York

NEW YORK (May 18, 2020) — U.S. Army Pfc. Joshua Jenkins, deployed with the 44th Medical Brigade, prepares a specimen bag for a COVID-19 testing vial in a mobile testing center at the Javits Center. Armed forces personnel are supporting the New York City medical system, as part of the Department of Defense COVID-19 response.
