Disaster Recovery Center to Open August 5 in Holt County

 

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A new FEMA disaster recovery center will open in Holt County Monday, August 5, to provide one-on-one assistance to Missourians affected by recent flooding, severe storms and tornadoes.

 

Another Holt County disaster recovery center that has been operating at Mound City High School at 708 Nebraska Street will close at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2.

 

Recovery centers are staffed with specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration, who provide information on available services, explain assistance programs and help survivors complete or check the status of their applications.

 

The new Holt County disaster recovery center location is:

Open 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday until further notice

Closed Sundays

 

Missourians from any county may visit any recovery center. Before visiting a recovery center, residents are asked to register online at DisasterAssistance.gov or call 800-621-FEMA (3362).
