GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – All Community Recovery Centers will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17,2019 due to anticipated disruptions of transportation as a result of ongoing protests across the island.

Centers are expected to resume their regular hours of operation on Thursday, July 18. Any further changes to hours will be contingent on the current situation on the island and community recovery center staff will be notified, if necessary.

The centers serve all community members and visitors do not have to be registered with FEMA to access these services. Representatives from local and volunteer agencies are available at centers across the island to provide assistance with housing repairs, rental resources, FEMA case review, emotional and spiritual wellness services and legal services.

Recovery officials encourage Irma and María survivors who registered for disaster assistance with FEMA to stay in touch. If survivors change addresses or phone numbers they should contact FEMA to update their information. Missing or incorrect information could result in delays in receiving assistance.
