ANCHORAGE, Alaska – A FEMA disaster survivor assistance team is available for the next two weeks in Kenai Peninsula Borough to help residents who were affected by the Nov. 30 earthquake apply for disaster assistance and get advice on appealing eligibility decisions.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency team can also answer questions about the status of an applicant’s registration.
Beginning Feb. 21 for the next two weeks, FEMA’s disaster survivor assistance team is based at:

Hours are Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. No hours are scheduled Sunday.
Alaskans have until Feb. 28 to apply for the Alaska Individual Assistance program online at Ready.Alaska.gov or call 855-445-7131.
The deadline to apply for federal assistance is April 1. Here are additional ways to apply with FEMA:

- Call 800-621-3362 (FEMA), voice/VP/711. Multilingual operators are available. TTY users may call 800-462-7585. Lines are open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time.
- Visit a disaster recovery center. Disaster recovery center locations are available at FEMA.gov/disaster/4413 or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-FEMA (3362).
