ANCHORAGE, Alaska – As required by Executive Order 11988, FEMA has issued a public notice of its intent to provide federal assistance and grant opportunities through its Public Assistance, Individual Assistance, and Hazard Mitigation Grant programs in the state of Alaska.
This notice applies to programs implemented and areas designated under the disaster declaration FEMA DR-4413-AK signed by the president on Jan. 31. Designated areas are the Municipality of Anchorage, Matanuska-Susitna Borough and Kenai Peninsula Borough. The incident period for the disaster declaration is Nov. 30, 2018.
The public notice concerns activities that may affect historic properties, activities that are located in or affect wetland areas or the 100-year floodplain, and critical actions within the 500-year floodplain. Such activities may adversely affect a historic property, floodplain(s) or wetland(s), or may result in continuing vulnerability to flood damage.
