WASHINGTON – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) continued providing updates on Hurricane Lane preparations and interagency support for the state of Hawaii.
This morning, FEMA Administrator Brock Long spoke about the importance of prepositioning and supporting life-sustaining actions. “We are working very closely with Hawaii to not only continue the safety, security, food, water and shelter mission but also very quickly understand the impacts to energy lifelines - communications, transportation, health and medical critical lifelines,” said Administrator Long.
FEMA continues to work with partner organizations and remains engaged with the governor of Hawaii and local emergency management agencies.
