Chicago – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is required by law to provide public notice of its intent to provide federal assistance and grant opportunities through the Public Assistance (PA) or Hazard Mitigation Grant (HMGP) programs.
A public notice for the current Michigan disaster recovery mission is posted on the following website: https://www.fema.gov/media-library/assets/documents/168841
This initial public notice addresses the agency’s intention to reimburse eligible applicants for costs to repair or replace facilities damaged by the June 15-19, 2018, severe storms and flooding in Wisconsin. This public notice concerns activities that may affect historic properties, activities that are located in or affect wetland areas or the 100-year floodplain, and critical actions within the 500-year floodplain. Such activities may adversely affect the historic property, floodplain or wetland, or may result in continuing vulnerability to flood damage.
This may be the only public notice regarding the above-described actions under the Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation Grant Programs. Interested persons may obtain information about these actions or a specific project by writing to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Joint Field Office, 536 S. Clark Street, Sixth Floor, Chicago, IL 60605, or by calling 312-408-5500. Comments should be sent in writing to David Samaniego, Federal Coordinating Officer, at the above address within 15 days of the date of this notice.
