FEMA Offers Repair and Rebuilding Advice in April 23-28 in San Juan

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – As the people of Puerto Rico rebuild and repair homes, FEMA has teamed up with Kmart and Sears to provide free information, tips and literature on how to make homes stronger and safer during the rebuilding process.

FEMA advisors are available April 23-28.

FEMA mitigation specialists can answer questions and offer home improvement tips and proven methods to prevent or reduce damage from future disasters. Specialists will also suggest techniques to build hazard-resistant homes. Most of the information and free publications provided are geared for do-it-yourself work and general contractors.

Recovery topics include flood insurance, elevating utilities and rebuilding and repairing flooded homes.
