BATON ROUGE, La. — FEMA disaster assistance for Louisiana tornado survivors in Livingston and Orleans parishes currently tops $2.7 million.

  • More than $1 million in home repairs/averaging $5,234 per FEMA eligible household.
  • $801,483 in rental assistance/averaging $2,087 per FEMA eligible household.
  • $552,494 in other needs assistance (furnishings and transportation).
  • Small Business Administration Loans (homes and businesses):
    • 174 loans approved.
    • $5.7 million approved.

More than 3,250 individuals visited FEMA’s two disaster recovery centers after the tornadoes.

Tornado survivors in Louisiana who still have needs left unresolved by other disaster recovery avenues are encouraged to contact the Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) for help in planning their path to recovery.
