FEMA Specialists to Offer Rebuilding Advice in St. Joseph

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Mitigation experts from the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be in St. Joseph to offer free rebuilding information and answer questions about how to strengthen property to make it more resistant to future storms.

Mitigation advisers will be on hand at a FEMA information booth at the following location:

3901 N. Belt Highway
St. Joseph, MO 64506
Oct. 19-Oct. 29
Open Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Mitigation advisers can provide valuable information about mold and mildew cleanup, electrical systems, furnaces and other appliances. Specialists can also offer expert advice about flooding and how to reinforce structures against high wind. A safe room display, including building plans, will be available. Information on flood insurance and free publications on a variety of rebuilding and safety topics will be available in both English and Spanish.
