Free Advice on Rebuilding in Ozark

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Franklin County area residents will have a chance to talk with experts in hazard mitigation building techniques July 25 and 26 in Ozark.

The specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will advise interested homeowners on rebuilding after the spring storms and tornadoes, and on making their property less vulnerable to future natural disasters. Homeowners will be able to get other valuable home improvement tips and techniques. Free publications will be available about mold and mildew cleanup and prevention, flood- and wind-resistant building methods, wind straps and other protective measures.

The event is free and open to the public. It will be held at Meadors Lumber Company, 1800 N. 18th St., Ozark, AR 72949, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
