FEMA Specialists Offer Rebuilding Advice

Raleigh, Cary, Garner and Erwin displays to open Thursday

RALEIGH, N.C. – Federal Emergency Management Agency experts who can offer free rebuilding information and answer questions about how to strengthen property against future storm damage will be in Raleigh, Cary, Garner and Erwin for six days beginning Thursday, June 9.
Advisors have suggestions to help home and business owners protect property against wind, flood and fire. They have counseled almost 22,000 residents since tornadoes struck North Carolina on April 16.
Experts will be at the following locations:

Advisors will be available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and then from
8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday
7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday
7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 14.

Mitigation advisors can provide valuable information about mold and mildew cleanup, electrical systems, furnaces and other appliances. There is also expert advice about how to reinforce structures against high wind, flood and fire. Informative tips are also available for securing personal property. Free publications on a variety of rebuilding and safety topics are also available both in English and Spanish.
