ADEM and FEMA to Close Disaster Field Office in Little Rock

Little Rock, AR -- The FEMA/ADEM Disaster Field Office will close Thursday, May 31. It was established to administer assistance programs available to Arkansas residents and business owners in the 67 declared counties, as well as municipalities, state and local governments and certain eligible private non-profit entities, as a result of the Presidential disaster declaration on Dec. 29, 2000. The declaration was in response to damages and losses resulting from the ice storms beginning Dec. 12.

The Disaster Field Office also administered the assistance programs available following the February flooding.

After close of business May 25, local officials who have questions or concerns relating to the December ice storms or February flooding should contact ADEM at 501-730-9750.
