    FEMA's mitigation division attends multiple public events in storm affected communities to promote mitigation practices. Today they are at the Meadowlands New Jersey State Fair distributing information to help survivors of Superstorm Sandy prepare for any future storms or disaster.

Minnick and Bixby are enjoying a cross-country adventure that has taken them from Galveston,Texas to Maine and the mid-Atlantic states on Minnick’s well-equipped cargo bike.   • <p>After the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission sustained more than $90 million in damages from Hurricane Sandy, the fifth largest wastewater treatment facility in the nation collaborated with FEMA specialists and representatives from the state and other federal agencies to map out a plan for the repair and mitigation of the facility, resulting in one of the largest projects in FEMA and New Jersey history.</p>

    After the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission sustained more than $90 million in damages from Hurricane Sandy, the fifth largest wastewater treatment facility in the nation collaborated with FEMA specialists and representatives from the state and other federal agencies to map out a plan for the repair and mitigation of the facility, resulting in one of the largest projects in FEMA and New Jersey history.
