    Draft Environmental Assessment

    The School Building Authority (SBA), in conjunction with the Nicholas County Board of Education (NCBOE), has applied through the West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (WVDHSEM) to the FEMA Public Assistance (PA) grant program for funding assistance, under the Presidentially Declared Disaster FEMA-DR-4273-WV, for the replacement of Richwood Middle and High School. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has prepared a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed construction of a new middle school and high school to replace the damaged Richwood Middle School and Richwood High School, outside of the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA). This collection includes the Assessment and related Appendices.

    2019 - Storm Surge

    This collection contains a variety of public service announcements that alert the general public to the dangers of storm surge. You will hear survivors talk about the affects of storm surge while watching video that demonstrates its power and destructive ability. The end of the video states "Storm Surge Kills" and begs the important question, "What is Your Plan?" The end card also provides a link to the Ready.gov website which will help audiences plan for natural disasters. In this collection you will find a variety of versions of each video. There is a version that is subtitled and a version that is not. There are also Spanish versions of some of the videos.

    Recovery Support Function Leadership Group (RSFLG) funding data

    The Recovery Support Function Leadership Group (RSFLG) is made up of multiple departments and agencies across the Federal government that work together to help communities recover from a disaster. The RSFLG allows Federal agencies to coordinate disaster recovery work under the National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF) across six Recovery Support Functions in order to provide communities with unified Federal assistance as quickly and effectively as possible. As part of the RSFLG, the Program Management Office (PMO) tracks funds and outcomes across the Federal interagency partners for the 2017 Hurricanes (Harvey, Irma, Maria) and the 2017 California wildfires. The purpose of the PMO is to provide accountability and transparency, enhance coordination and collaboration, and facilitate outcome driven recovery across the Federal government.
