FEMA Local Hires Begin Work

St. Croix, U.S.V.I., Nov. 13, 2017--The first group of FEMA Local Hires are ready to get to work at the Joint Field Office in St. Croix. Some of the newest FEMA employees are survivors of hurricanes Irma and Maria. Hiring locally allows disaster survivors to get back to work while supporting the long-term recovery effort and helping the territory return to normal. Local hire positions normally last 120 days and may be extended up to one year. FEMA/Lauren Lefebvre
