The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Individuals and Households Program (IHP) provides financial and/or direct assistance to disaster survivors who, as a result of a major disaster or emergency, have necessary expenses and serious needs that are unmet through insurance or other means. The IHP consists of two provisions: Housing Assistance and Other Needs Assistance.
