Environmental Assessment for Alamo Creek Detention Basin, City of Vacaville, CA (August 2011)

The City of Vacaville (City) in Solano County, California, has applied for Federal financial assistance to implement the Alamo Creek Detention Basin project to reduce the potential for damage from flooding on Alamo Creek. FEMA has prepared this Environmental Assessment (EA) to evaluate the impacts of the City’s proposal. The EA has been prepared according to the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) (42 U.S.C. §§ 4321–5327), the President’s Council on Environmental Quality’s (CEQ’s) regulations implementing NEPA (40 CFR Parts 1500–1508), and FEMA’s regulations for the implementation of NEPA (44 CFR Part 10).
