The FEMA Civil Rights Summit 5.0: Gender-Based Violence in Disasters is designed to foster dialogue and partnerships through direct engagement with FEMA. Summit presentations and discussions will cover Gender-Based Violence and Human Trafficking topics and FEMA programs and services, with special emphasis on understanding civil rights concerns within communities before, during, and after disasters.

FEMA announced today that federal disaster assistance is available to the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe to supplement the Tribal Nation’s efforts in the areas affected by a severe storm, straight-line winds and flooding from July 13-14, 2024.
