When a disaster strikes, communities must often act quickly to protect life, public health or safety, and property. In such instances, going through a competitive procurement may be impractical and even worsen the potential threat.

These one-hour virtual trainings will be facilitated by GPD’s Procurement Disaster Assistance Team (PDAT) and will cover the federal rules that allow for noncompetitive (“sole source”) procurements along with important compliance considerations when exercising these flexibilities.

This training is appropriate for FEMA award recipients and subrecipients impacted by recent disasters, including state, local, and tribal government personnel; nonprofit organization staff; and other non-Federal entities. This training is also appropriate for FEMA staff.
