Dr. Sheri Fink is the author of Five Days at Memorial: Life and Death in a Storm-Ravaged Hospital about a New Orleans hospital after Hurricane Katrina and her latest story, Lost in the Storm, tracks the Dailey family’s attempts to be rescued during Hurricane Harvey in Texas. Dr. Fink is a former relief worker in disaster and conflict zones and received her M.D. and Ph.D. from Stanford University.
