WASHINGTON – The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced today that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Connecticut to supplement state, tribal, and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, tornadoes, and straight-line winds on May 15, 2018.

Federal funding is also available to the state, tribal, and local governments, and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe storms, tornadoes, and straight-line winds in Fairfield and New Haven counties.

Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures within the state.
