State Profiles on Disaster Funding

This page provides insights into disaster funding that falls within a particular U.S. state or territory with the tools and data breakdowns below.

Please explore federal disaster declarations by state, county, hazard, and year to better understand your historical disaster risk and potential disaster-related costs.

NOTE: This page includes FEMA and SBA funding from the FEMA Disaster Relief Fund and the SBA Disaster Loan Fund for all non-COVID disasters declared since 2017.

Most other Department’s disaster spending is included only if it comes from the following disaster supplemental appropriations laws: PL 115-56, 115-72, 115-123, 115-141, 115-254, and 116-20. HUD also reports on CDBG-DR funding from Public law 117-43. Some disaster spending funded by non-supplemental mechanisms, such as the USDA Commodity Credit Corporation, the DOT Highway Trust Fund, or annual appropriations, is not included.

The disaster spending data detailed here does not include appropriations or spending on the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, which is tracked separately by the U.S. Department of Treasury at
