Submit webinars to LLIS.gov to contribute toward your Certified Emergency Manager (CEM®) or Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) Requirements!
Announced in December, LLIS.gov’s has a new partnership with the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) which enables both prospective and current Certified Emergency Managers (CEMs®) and Associate Emergency Managers (AEMs) with new ways to contribute toward their certification requirements. CEM and AEM candidates can now conduct pre-recorded or interactive webinars to contribute toward IAEM’s certification and re-certification requirements. Webinars must be emergency management related while enhancing the knowledge of the whole community. Webinars can be part of your job duties (with the exception for service and leadership roles). Additional guidance and submission criteria on how to conduct a webinar can be found by visiting https://www.llis.dhs.gov/get-involved.
In addition to conducting webinars, CEM and AEM candidates can also author and submit a document about a lesson learned or innovative practice for publication on LLIS.gov. Submission templates are available online. The LLIS.gov team will publish quality, peer-validated documents.
