The Ready.gov campaign launched a redesigned website to attract attention and remain relevant to its audience – elementary-age children. History has proven that this audience is critical for getting new behaviors in emergency preparedness adopted in homes across the nation.
Among previous campaigns that have successfully involved this audience include the U.S. Forest Service’s Smokey Bear and the U.S. Fire Administration’s “Stop, drop and roll!” campaign.
Check out the new redesigned Ready Kids web pages in English and Spanish which includes:
- Interactive emergency preparedness games for kids
- Tips and tools for parents to talk to kids about who to call, where to meet, and what to pack during an emergency
- Downloadable emergency preparedness curriculum for educators and more!
