HICKORY, NC – In partnership with the state and local government,
FEMA will close the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Madison County
as of 6 p.m. Dec 23. for the holidays. 

The center will reopen AT 8 A.M. ON Dec. 27. The center will also be
closed for New Year’s Day and reopen at 8 a.m. on Jan. 2.

It is not necessary to go to a center to apply for FEMA assistance.
