PHOTOS OF WHOLE-OF-AMERICA COVID-19 RESPONSE VOLUME 16 [https://www.fema.gov/news-release/20200410/photos-whole-america-covid-19-response] Release Date: Avril 10, 2020 WASHINGTON — The whole-of-America response to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic continued today, as FEMA Project Airbridge flights arrived in Chicago with essential medical supplies, postal workers processed and delivered mail and National Guardsmen continued to support response efforts in West Virginia, Oregon and Arizona. U.S. National Guardsmen are serving at testing facilities, state and local emergency management agencies and operations centers, providing logistics support aand assisting with disinfecting common public spaces. Under the White House Coronavirus Task Force's direction, FEMA, HHS and our federal partners are working with state, local, tribal and territorial governments to execute a whole-of-America response to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and protect the public. In addition to the nationwide emergency declaration, President Trump has granted 54 major disaster declarations to states, territories and the District of Columbia. FEMA’s Project Airbridge expedites movement of critical supplies, in varying quantities, from the global market to medical distributors in various locations across the U.S. . To date, Project Airbridge has completed 26 flights with an additional 54 scheduled. Through Project Airbridge, the following supplies have been delivered from overseas manufacturers to the U.S. and into private sector supply chains from March 29 through April 9, 2020: * 375,000 N-95 masks * 250.6 million gloves * 25.1 million surgical masks * 3.5 million gowns * 24,000 face shields To date, FEMA has obligated more than $5 billion in support of COVID-19 efforts. (APRIL 10, 2020) — Sgt. 1st Class Matthew Park of the West Virginia National Guard’s Task Force Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear, Response Enterprise, instructs grocery store managers and employees on decontamination procedures and personal protective equipment protocols.  The task force in coordination with the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources and local county health departments, is helping train retail workers around the state to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect workers and customers throughout West Virginia. _U.S. Army National Guard photo by Edwin L. (APRIL 9, 2020) — As part of the whole-of-America COVID-19 response, letter carriers case mail whiling wearing face masks inside an Alexandria, Va., post office.  These mail carriers are part of the 600,000- employee workforce that is processing, transporting and delivering mail and packages for the American public.
