Property management companies who want to help Hurricane Ida survivors with temporary housing needs, are encouraged to let FEMA know.

 

FEMA Options for Property-Management Companies

Direct Temporary Housing is approved for Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Plaquemines, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, Tangipahoa and Terrebonne parishes. FEMA is looking for properties within these parishes, in adjacent parishes or within 50 miles of the parishes designated for direct temporary housing.

Interested property management companies and owners of rental properties must register with System for Award Management. Be sure to have your company’s Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) and tax identification number ready.

Vacant units must be exclusively to FEMA for use as temporary housing for eligible applicants to expire no earlier than February 28, 2023, with the possibility of contract extension.  

FEMA’s Direct Lease Option

FEMA’s Direct Lease option funds the property management companies to lease existing, ready-to-move-in multi-family and single-family residential properties for survivors.

Interested property management companies responses and comments are now closed.

Multi-Family Lease and Repair

Multi-family Lease and Repair, the property owner or FEMA may repair or make improvements and lease, existing multi-family rental properties.

Interested parties must respond to FEMA’s Request for Information by 3 pm CST, Nov. 17, via email at DR-4611-LA-MLRP@fema.dhs.gov.
