Throughout the year, the Resilient Nation Partnership Network (RNPN) hosts a variety of events to convene the whole community and engage in productive dialogues around timely and meaningful topics on resilience, mitigation, climate, adaptation, and more. Descriptions of each, as well as upcoming events, are provided below. Events are open to everyone.

Annual Partnership Forum
The Annual Partnership Forum is hosted by FEMA and a different partner organization each fall (typically October). This event provides opportunities for partners to engage with other industry peers, opportunities to network, and to identify actionable future partnerships around a priority topic. This year’s forum in2023, will mark the eight annual event.
Past co-hosts include the Mississippi River Cities and Towns Initiative, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), The Pew Charitable Trusts, The World Bank, The American Institute of Architects, and the National Building Museum.
The Resilience Exchange

The Resilience Exchanges are monthly learning sessions that dive into a specific subject or topic, designed to share knowledge and advance conversation around a particular area of resilience. Events are typically moderated by an external partner and feature three to four panelists that represent a diversity of perspectives. Past topics include Social Resilience and Connectedness; A Seismic Shift in Perception (earthquake risk and mitigation); The Next Generation of Resilience Student Showcase; Impact Investing for Resilience; Resilient Decision Making, and more.

Ideation Hours

The RNPN “Ideation Hours” kicked off June 2021 as a way for participants to freely share ideas, foster connections and pursue collaborative opportunities. This freestyle event is open to everyone and encourages participants to bring their best resilience ideas and projects to the table. They are held quarterly and cover a myriad of topics including but not limited to wildfires, hurricane season, social resilience, and resilient infrastructure.
