Potential uses for this map include: Pre-event uses) Preparation of policies and procedures for utilizing county loss ratios to support mitigation planning; (Post-event uses) Assessment of disaster impacts on housing inventory in affected counties; Prioritizing disaster assistance to impacted communities; Assessment and documentation of economic impacts from wind damage. Potential uses for this map include: (Pre-event uses) Use of debris estimates (all categories) from scenario events as input for debris management plans; Identification of areas with high potential concentrations of concrete and steel debris, and incorporation of this analysis into debris clearance and removal strategies; (Post-event uses) Use of estimates of concrete and steel debris to identify impacted areas that may have urban search and rescue requirements; Use of analysis for debris response, including prioritization of deployment of debris clearance strike teams; and Use of analysis for scaling mission requirements for under Emergency Support Function (ESF) #3 under the National Response Plan, and for estimating resource requirements for Public Assistance.

Potential uses for this map include: (Pre-event uses) Identification of hospitals most at risk from storm surge and hurricane winds; Incorporation of HAZUS-MH analysis of debris  Estimated Loss of Functionality of Hospitals in Hurricane Ivan map generation to identify hospitals that may inaccessible; Identification of population most at risk from the effects of storm surge and high winds, and thus requiring medical attention; (Post-event uses) Identification of hospitals with moderate to high probability of losing functionality due to the effects of high winds and storm surge; Input in the deployment of Disaster Medical Assistance Teams (DMAT) and the location of staging areas for deployment of response resources; and Identification of population at risk and infrastructure that is exposed to high winds and storm surge, and areas with potentially high concentrations of debris.
