Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant

The Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Grant Program is authorized by Section 203 of the Stafford Act.  As a result of amendments by the Disaster Relief and Recovery Act of 2018, the Pre-Disaster Mitigation program is being replaced with the new Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program.

Managing Your Existing Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant

General questions about the Pre-Disaster Mitigation program can be directed to the appropriate State Hazard Mitigation Officer (SHMO) or FEMA Regional Office on FEMA.gov. You can also call the Hazard Mitigation Assistance Helpline at (866) 222-3580.
