Rumeur:FEMA has been turning away supplies such as insulin being shipped in for Hawaii disaster relief.

Fait

This is not true. FEMA has not blocked any resources or medications.  FEMA is not reviewing cargo arriving in Hawaii ports or airports.

FEMA is working on Maui to support life-saving operations in affected neighborhoods, at the Disaster Recovery Center to directly support survivors with applying for disaster assistance and supporting local officials in planning disaster response and recovery operations. Disaster response is a whole community effort and we have been partnering with numerous voluntary organizations to provide supplies that address immediate needs.
